The President of the Republic, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj, had a telephone conversation with the envoy of the British Government for Kosovo and the developments in the Western Balkans
The President of the Republic, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj had a telephone conversation today with the British Government’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach.
Both interlocutors emphasized, that peace and stability in Kosovo are very precious and should therefore be a top priority.
President Begaj recognizes that it is very important for Kosovo and Serbia to continue, without delay and with clear political will, the dialogue for reaching a comprehensive and legally enforceable agreement by the parties.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that Albania and the United Kingdom will continue their efforts to oppose Russia regarding the war in Ukraine, as well as increase bilateral cooperation on issues of cyber security, energy and infrastructure.
Lord Peach appreciated the role of Albania and underlined the support of the British Government for maintaining peace and stability in the Western Balkan region.
