President Begaj Meets with Peace Corps Director, Carol Spahn
President Bajram Begaj of the Republic of Albania welcomed Carol Spahn, the Director of the Peace Corps, for a meeting today.
The President acknowledged the commitment of the American volunteer program in Albania and its years of assistance.
President Begaj also conveyed his congratulations to the American side, which has expressed its commitment to support Albania’s efforts to expand the reach and impact of the Peace Corps program in the country.
Peace Corps volunteers have engaged in collaborations with local and central authorities, civil society, and schools to foster community development.
Based on this cooperation, during his meeting with Peace Corps Director Carol Spahn, the President expressed confidence in the bilateral commitment to promoting peace and development through empowering the role of youth.
