President Begaj Accepts Credentials from the Ambassador of Latvia to Albania, Resident in Rome, H.E. Ms. Elita Gavele
President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Bajram Begaj, today accepted the credentials of the Ambassador of Latvia to Albania, resident in Rome, H.E. Ms. Elita Gavele.
President Begaj congratulated Ms. Gavele on her new appointment, assuring support throughout her tenure.
During the conversation, the excellent political dialogue was appreciated.
Discussions also covered issues of economic cooperation between the two countries, direct investments in Albania, the increase in trade exchanges, and the expansion of relations in other sectors, including education.
The President valued Latvia’s ongoing support for Albania’s European Union membership process, its contribution in Kosova through KFOR, and its commitment in the Western Balkans.
The meeting also highlighted that Albania and Latvia aim to strengthen cooperation in facing new challenges as NATO allies and as two countries sharing common positions on important regional and global issues.
