President Begaj Meets with Shijak Businessmen: Serious Foreign Investments and Honorable Albanian Enterprises Develop Albania!
The President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Bajram Begaj, held meetings with businessmen from the Municipality of Shijak, operating as both foreign and Albanian investments.
The President emphasized the importance of increasing serious foreign investments as well as honest local enterprises that contribute to sustainable development and serve as models for a better future.
He initially visited companies that started as small family enterprises after the 1990s and have now strengthened to enter international markets.
An example is “Insifa” in Maminas, a company founded by the six Osmani brothers who started this initiative in 1992 with a small venue and have now established a sustainable business in gastronomy, culinary arts, and tourism. “Insifa” also boasts the latest technology in confectionery production.
President Begaj commended this inspiring enterprise, stating, “This is an example that only through honest work can one achieve great deeds.”
“You promote your family name and in Albanian. Exporting high-quality ‘Made in Albania’ products to 35 countries proves you are the best ambassadors for Albania,” said President Begaj during the meeting.
Another development model is the “Agro Koni” company in “Koxhas Fushë,” where the President visited two greenhouses of this agribusiness.
He congratulated the entrepreneurs for investing in agriculture and apiculture, expressing, “Through the establishment and strengthening of businesses, more job opportunities are created for families and communities.”
To encourage the increase of international investments in Albania, President Begaj also visited “Maccaferri Balkans” in “Xhafzotaj,” a branch of the international Italian company “Maccaferri Group,” a leader in civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineering markets.
The President valued this serious venture and stated that Albania needs such investments. In this subsidiary, where over 200 Albanians are employed, Mr. Begaj was greeted by the head of the Italian group “Maccaferri,” Mr. Lapo Vivarelli Colonna, with whom he discussed the values and global vision of the investment.
“Once, I said, there are many Italians in Albania, but little Italy, but your group’s presence shows that Italy is coming with serious investments,” President Begaj remarked.
