President Begaj receives in a meeting the members of the Diaspora for Free Albania
The President of the Republic, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj received today in a meeting the members of the Diaspora for Free Albania, who are working, among other things, to enable voting for Albanians in exile.
President Begaj appreciated the contributions of Albanians of the Diaspora, as one of the main elements of the development of the country’s intellectual and financial capacities.
‘I have taken a series of steps to create a closer connection with the Albanian Diaspora around the world and we are working with legal and political actors to enable the Diaspora to vote in the 2025 elections for the Assembly, as a fundamental and necessary right for every Albanian citizen wherever they live’, said President Begaj.
The Head of State emphasized that, ‘the further integration of the Albanian Diaspora in the country and the possibility of voting for all Albanians from the countries where they live, is in the interest of our country and must be made a reality immediately’.
