President Begaj meets with the President of Azerbaijan, Aliyev
The President of the Republic of Albania, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj met with the President of Azerbaijan, H.E.Mr. Ilham Aliyev, in the framework of the “Global Baku Forum”, which was held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
President Begaj appreciated the meeting with the Azerbaijani counterpart. “Our talks focused on energy issues and the region, as well as opportunities to further deepen our bilateral relations, especially in the field of economy and tourism. I expressed the belief, that the spirit of cooperation and understanding that exists between Albania and Azerbaijan will carry forward the relationship between the two countries,” President Begaj said.
The theme for this year’s forum was “The World of Today: Challenges and Hopes”. President Begaj was part of the session themed “Western Balkans in the context of the European Union”.
The “Global Baku Forum” is organized by the “Nizami Ganjavi International Center” based in Baku, and its mission is to promote Education, Tolerance, Dialogue, Understanding and Common Society. Its board consists of several presidents, prime ministers, academics and important ambassadors from different countries of the world.
