The First Lady, Armanda Begaj visits the Historical Museum “Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbej” in Kruja
On the International Museum Day, the First Lady, Armanda Begaj visited the National Museum “Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbej” in Kruja.
The First Lady Begaj chose this well-organized museum from the didactic point of view, to convey her messages on the importance of children’s education, historical knowledge and Albanian cultural knowledge through museums.
“I am especially pleased to learn from the museum director, Mr. Mehdi Hafizi, that the number of foreign and local visitors has increased, especially school students from Albania, North Macedonia and Kosovo. I believe that historical knowledge passes not only through school lessons dedicated to it, but also through visits to museums, archaeological sites that are important places of cultural enrichment, cultural exchange, development and understanding. Museums are among the most educational places”, Mrs. Begaj said.
Since 1977, May 18th is the International Museum Day, and serves as a day of awareness on the role that the museum can play in the formation and enrichment of human knowledge.
