Security Council Meeting Conclusions and Recommendations
At the end of the Security Council Meeting, following all reports and discussions, the President of the Republic, H.E. Bajram Begaj highlighted the importance of the meeting and the commitment of all institutions to guarantee national security, in line with their respective area of responsibility. The President stressed the importance of coordination, joint efforts, institutional inclusiveness, efficient use of national resources, as well as pursuit of every citizen’s contribution to the benefit of national security.
President Begaj requested that the process of reviewing and drafting of strategic documents, such as the National Security Strategy, other strategic documents on defense and security, civil emergencies, and sectoral strategies, be treated as top priority.
He underscored that these documents should not be just formal documents, but that they should be well-budgeted, to ensure a coordinated and harmonized use of all national power instruments, to guarantee security, promote sustainable economic development, increase the well-being of citizens, and ensure the protection of values and national interests of the Republic of Albania.
