He was received in a special ceremony at the Magistral Villa by His Most Eminent Highness, Fra’ John Dunlap, Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.

The President emphasized that the solidarity and humanity of this Order have left a mark in Albania through the implementation of projects in the fields of health, education, and social assistance for those in need.
A special acknowledgment was conveyed by the President for the assistance from the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in the recovery of Albania after the devastating earthquake of November 2019, as well as for the contributions of volunteers from “Malteser Albania,” who care for people in need through medical, social, and humanitarian services.
Albania, President Begaj stated, will always support the engagement of the Order of Malta in the field of humanitarian diplomacy and interfaith dialogue, as only through this can the joint contribution to global peace and humanitarian solidarity be enhanced.
