President Begaj received in a meeting the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Albania, Jutta Gützkow
The President of the Republic, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj, received in a meeting today, the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Albania, Jutta Gűtzkow.
President Begaj appreciated the role and contribution given by the Council of Europe Office in Albania, in support of key reforms for the country, such as justice reform, the fight against corruption and economic crime, protection from discrimination of vulnerable groups, as well as the promotion of media independence.
The Head of State also appreciated the important role, that the Council of Europe is playing in these difficult moments for the European continent and the Euro-Atlantic space, in dealing with issues related to developments in Kosovo and the Western Balkans, but also in condemning Russian military aggression in Ukraine.
