Notice on the visit of the President of the Republic, H. E. Mr. Bajram Begaj to NATO
The President of the Republic, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj will pay an official visit to NATO, on March 7th, 2023.
The Head of State will have a meeting with NATO Secretary-General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, with whom he will discuss strategic and security developments in NATO’s eastern flank and the Western Balkans.
Also, the topic of the discussions will be the continuation of support for Ukraine; Albania’s commitment and contribution to NATO, as well as expectations for the next NATO Summit, which will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania, in July of this year.
In this official visit, President Begaj will be accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, Brigadier General Arben Kingji and members of his cabinet.
This is the first official visit to NATO by President Begaj, in the capacity of the President of the Republic.
At the end of the meeting, at 13:00 hrs, President Begaj and the NATO Secretary-General will hold a joint press conference.
