The President of the Republic of Albania, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj, attended the Ceremony of the Muslim Community, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of this community
In his remark, President Begaj emphasized the contribution of this community, but also of other religious communities regarding the Independence of Albania and the consolidation of the Albanian state.
President Begaj, also emphasized that the role of the founding clerics of the Muslim Community is a value that made history, strengthened brotherhood among Albanians and positively influenced the preservation of social cohesion in a multi-religious society.
President Begaj expressed full confidence that today’s Albanian Muslim clerics, as well as those of other communities, as spiritual leaders of Albanians, will continue to preserve and strengthen religious tolerance and harmony.
President Begaj emphasized that he will be a supporter and protector of freedom of belief, and a promoter of religious harmony and coexistence as a national value.
