The President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Andrzej Duda, was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Agatha Kornhauser-Duda.
As part of this visit, the First Lady of Albania, Armanda Begaj, received Mrs. Duda in a special meeting.
During their warm conversation, they exchanged thoughts and ideas on the responsibilities and focus of their activities as First Ladies.
Mrs. Begaj introduced to Mrs. Duda that her and President Begaj’s focus, among other things, is the education of the new generation, especially encouraging them to read Albanian books as an important part of the country’s cultural heritage.
The First Ladies shared the conviction that the education of the younger generation is very important for the future of a country.
Then, they visited the “Ramazan Kabashi” Institute, where they got to know closely the work of the staff and the special facilities dedicated to children with vision problems.
The First Ladies had the pleasure of listening with great emotion to the children reciting and playing the piano, but also to talk more about their likes and wishes for the future.
“Agatha, you and me, are united by the desire and will to read books, even though each of us in different languages,” Mrs. Begaj said.
Therefore, Mrs. Begaj and Mrs. Duda donated some books to the fund of this institute.
In the recording room, these books will be audio recorded, with the contribution of many volunteers.
