His Excellency Bajram Begaj, President of the Republic of Albania, visited a bookstore café in Tirana today to give his message for October, known as the month of literature
“Each of us must encourage and promote reading Albanian books. In this way, we preserve and inherit our linguistic, cultural, and national identity. We are grateful and really appreciate the contribution of Albanian publishers engaged in this national mission!” wrote President Begaj in a status shared on his official Facebook account.
One of the primary initiatives of the President of the Republic is to raise awareness in Albanian society about preserving and transmitting Albanian heritage, as well as consciousness about reading and promoting policies related to books in the Albanian language.
