During his official visit to Montenegro, President Bajram Begaj met with Albanian representatives in the Government and Parliament.
The President discussed with them the political empowerment of the Albanian factor in Montenegro and the economic development of the municipalities where ethnic Albanians reside.
“It was a distinct pleasure to meet with the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro, Nik Gjeloshaj, currently the highest-ranking Albanian representative in the government. We discussed the positive developments in strengthening cooperation between our two countries and expressed confidence that there are still untapped opportunities in the economic and infrastructural connectivity sectors that await realization in the future,” President Begaj wrote on social media following the meeting with Mr. Gjeloshaj.
President Begaj also held meetings at the Albanian Embassy in Podgorica with representatives of Albanians in the Montenegrin Parliament: “At the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Podgorica, I had a fraternal meeting with a group of Albanian deputies in the Parliament of Montenegro. We discussed the political factorization of Albanians in Montenegro and the priorities for economic development through cross-border projects in areas inhabited by ethnic Albanians,” President Begaj wrote.
On his official X platform profile, President Begaj announced a meeting with the Vice President of the Parliament, Mr. Nikoll Camaj: “It was a pleasure to meet the Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, the experienced Albanian politician Nikoll Camaj. We shared thoughts on the political and economic strengthening of ethnic Albanians living here, a solid bridge connecting our two peoples.”
