President Begaj Congratulates the New Archbishop of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania
President Bajram Begaj extended his congratulations to Metropolitan Joan Pelushi on his election as the new Archbishop of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.
“Many congratulations to the new Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës, and all Albania, His Beatitude, Mr. Joan! Under his leadership, the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania will continue to be a strong pillar of faith, peace, and spiritual values for the believers and the entire Albanian society,” stated President Begaj.
The election of the new Archbishop marks a significant moment for the Orthodox community in Albania.
Metropolitan Joan Pelushi was elected to head the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania following the passing of His Beatitude Anastasius several months ago.
