The President of the Republic of Albania, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj, accompanied by the First Lady Armanda Begaj, was received today on a state visit to Kazakhstan, by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E.Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
This visit marks the first visit of an Albanian President to Kazakhstan and comes at a time when the two countries are celebrating 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
After the state reception ceremony, the two presidents held a one-on-one meeting, which was followed by a meeting between the two delegations.
While evaluating the very good relations between the two countries, President Begaj said: “Special attention was also paid to economic cooperation, commercial exchanges, finding opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest, such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture, or the extraction and processing of minerals.”
President Begaj added: “Another important issue that was discussed was the opening of a Kazakh Embassy in Albania, which was welcomed by President Tokayev.”
During the meeting, tourism was also the focus of the two presidents. In this context, President Begaj said: “There was another special interest in establishing a direct airline between Kazakhstan and Tirana, which will serve tourism.”
President Begaj invited President Tokayev to visit Albania.
