President Begaj meets the President of the Swiss Confederation, Mr. Alain Berset

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Bajram Begaj, met with the President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Home Affairs, His Excellency Alain Berset.

During the meeting, the strong cooperation and relations between the two countries were recognised, and a firm determination was expressed to strengthen them further and deepen collaboration within international organisations. President Begaj emphasized, “The Albanian community in Switzerland is a strong connecting bridge between our two nations”.

The President of the Republic thanked his Swiss counterpart for the ongoing support and essential backing of Switzerland in the development of various sectors of our economy, including energy, tourism, and health, in which Switzerland stands as the major donor, assisting in the improvement of the healthcare system and in drafting the national strategy for primary healthcare.

Additionally, he expressed gratitude for the two countries signing the Social Security Agreement.
