President Begaj Meets with the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Metin Gürak
President Bajram Begaj of the Republic of Albania hosted a meeting today with General Metin Gürak, the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces. During the conversation, President Begaj emphasized that relations between Albania and Turkey are at very high levels across all areas. The President noted the excellent cooperation between the two countries in security and defense.
As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Begaj thanked General Gürak for Turkey’s ongoing support in the education and training of Albanian military personnel. The President conveyed his appreciation to General Gürak for enhancing the Albanian army with Bayraktar drones, as well as for Turkey’s support to Kosovo through backing the Kosova Security Force and via KFOR, where Turkey currently holds command.
