President Begaj Meets with the Leadership of the “Women, Peace, and Security” Association
President Bajram Begaj of the Republic of Albania today hosted the leadership of the “Women, Peace, and Security” association.
This meeting followed the session of the 10th International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN) Forum held the day before at the Parliament of Albania.
During the discussion, the President was briefed on the efforts of the International Civil Society Action Network, and he received commendations for Albania’s assistance in hosting Afghan women.
President Begaj emphasized the need for cooperation between civil society representatives, particularly in strengthening the role of women to address global peace and security challenges and to advance the Women, Peace, and Security agenda.
