President Begaj meets with the European Parliament Rapporteur for Albania, Isabel Santos
The President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bajram Begaj, today welcomed the European Parliament’s Rapporteur for Albania, Ms. Isabel Santos, for a meeting. The conversation focused on the progress of the Albanian parliament, Albania’s European integration process, and regional cooperation. President Begaj emphasized the importance of reflecting on the past, evaluating the present, and working towards the future. During the discussion, the European Parliament’s Rapporteur for Albania, Ms. Santos, praised the role of the President of the Republic as a balancing factor in the political life of Albania.
The meeting acknowledged Albania’s contribution and its positive engagement in foreign policy, security issues as a NATO member, and efforts to promote peace and improve citizens’ lives in the region.
