President Begaj Meets with the Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković

Today, the President of the Republic of Albania, His Excellency Mr. Bajram Begaj, hosted a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, His Excellency Mr. Elmedin Konaković. The discussion focused on bilateral relations, cooperation within regional initiatives, and the integration processes of the Western Balkan countries.

President Begaj reaffirmed Albania’s readiness to intensify political and diplomatic cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina and to explore opportunities to strengthen economic relations, particularly in trade and tourism.

The President of the Republic of Albania also commended the reopening of the respective embassies and the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards European integration, acknowledging the decision by the Council of the European Union last March to open negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
