President Begaj Welcomes the Italo-Arbëresh Delegation from Foundations: “Lions District 108 YA”, “Lions Club Arbëria”, and “Arbëreshët e Kalabrisë”
President Bajram Begaj of Albania today received an Italo-Arbëresh delegation comprising the foundations: “Lions District 108 YA”, “Lions Club Arbëria”, and “Arbëreshët e Kalabrisë”.
During the discussion, President Begaj appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the “Lions District 108 YA” and “Lions Club Arbëria”, and the Arbëresh Foundation of Calabria, which are promoting the expansion of cooperation with Albania.
President Begaj praised the motto of the “Lions Club Arbëria”: “We Serve!”.
“This mission aligns with my experience as a military doctor, and I find it also aligns with the United Nations’ sustainable development goals to aid every person in need. No one should be left behind! No one should lack education, medical care, or social support, especially the elderly who have given so much to society. Thank you for being there for them with your help”!
President Begaj thanked them for all these organizations have done for Albania.
“You are an example of patriotism! Continue to perform acts with love, as you will receive heartfelt thanks!” he expressed.
Evoking two significant figures in our history: Mother Teresa and our National Hero, Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, President Begaj remarked, “They have shown us that if we are united, we will be stronger and can do greater things for our homeland and for the Albanians”.
