President Begaj Meets Asaf Hajiyev, Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC)
President of the Republic, Mr. Bajram Begaj, today received Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC).
During the meeting, President Begaj revisited Albania’s contributions during the past six-month presidency of the organization, which was themed “United for Peaceful Cooperation in the BSEC Area.”
As a founding member of BSEC, Albania has worked to elevate cooperation to a more sustainable economic and social level, strengthening the organization and its interactions with the European Union.
“Albania,” President Begaj emphasized, “values BSEC as a promoter and facilitator of cooperation and good neighborly relations, representing a model of multiparty political and economic diplomacy.”
“We must continue to further consolidate the Parliamentary Assembly and the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, aiming to enhance peace, stability, and prosperity in the BSEC region,” President Begaj stated.
The President conveyed his congratulations to Mr. Hajiyev for the achievements of the BSEC Parliamentary Assembly in partnering with other international parliaments and organizations to implement projects and fulfill the goals of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
