President Begaj Receives Credentials from the New Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium
His Excellency President Bajram Begaj of Albania today welcomed the new non-resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, His Excellency Paul Lambert, to whom he accepted the Credentials.
President Begaj expressed confidence that, despite the absence of a Belgian embassy in Tirana, relations between Albania and Belgium would continue to improve, including on an economic level.
Tourism was recognized as one of the most dynamic sectors, and during discussions with Ambassador Lambert, the President highlighted the increase in Belgian visitors to Albania, emphasizing the need for continued cooperation to maintain this trend. The direct flights between Brussels and Tirana also contribute positively to these exchanges.
Regarding the integration between Albania and Belgium in terms of European integration, President Begaj conveyed his appreciation to Ambassador Lambert for the support provided in this process.
President Begaj noted that Albania is making significant progress and, following the opening of negotiations on key chapters, aims to advance further with reforms while also benefiting from the implementation of the Growth Plan, which is expected to boost the country’s development.
