President Begaj Lights Up the Holiday Tree with Children Invited from Across Albania
Today, the Presidential Institution was illuminated for the holiday season.
His Excellency, Mr. Bajram Begaj, President of the Republic of Albania, lit the holiday tree in the company of children invited from all over Albania.
This festive event, now a tradition, was attended by young singers, dancers, musicians, and students from various schools across the country who have won national and international awards throughout 2024.
The Presidential Institution has made it a tradition to celebrate Christmas and the New Year with children who, this year as well, joyfully took center stage at the festive concert.
The First Lady of the Republic, Mrs. Armanda Begaj, congratulated the children on their achievements in science, art, culture, and sports. Mrs. Begaj highlighted in her welcoming speech that the medal winners of the past year are a great example for their peers and that everyone is proud of them.
“Good evening and welcome, dear children! This hall, filled with so much joy and excitement, brightens us all. This year, we have many distinguished and successful champions among us in science, art, and sports. They deserve a big round of applause from us today.
Dear champions, your dedication and passion for literature, science, art, culture, and sports ensure that our future will be better. You are the perfect role model for all your peers. Thank you for traveling from all over Albania to light the holiday tree lights with us today! Children, please give a big round of applause for your parents, teachers, and coaches. Without their care, attention, and support, you would not be successful. I wish everyone happy holidays, good health, and the will to realize your dreams! Enjoy!”
The celebration continued with performances by dancers from the Tirana Cultural Artistic Center, songs performed by young artists from the Tirana Artistic Lyceum, and rare voices from Albania and Kosova, as well as artistic and instrumental performances by students who have won national and international awards in various fields of art.
The international champion Judo team from Kavaja city offered a match demonstration for the guests, while the event culminated with symbolic gifts prepared by the Presidential Institution for all the young guests.
