President Begaj Calls for Equal Opportunities and Inclusion for Individuals with Autism
On the International Day of Awareness of Autism, President Bajram Begaj of Albania appealed for increased assistance and support for individuals with autism towards full inclusion and equal opportunities.
The President emphasized the need for enhanced dialogue and coordination among responsible institutions to implement policies that assist these individuals. He also stated that society needs to offer greater support to parents of children with autism to overcome obstacles they face and to foster an accepting and positive environment where support is the main focus.
On April 2nd, the Office of the President of Albania joined institutions worldwide in lighting up in blue, the symbolic color of this awareness day.
