President Begaj Welcomes a Delegation from the Parliament of Saxony
President of the Republic, Sh. T. Z. Bajram Begaj, welcomed a delegation from the Parliament of Saxony in a meeting.
President Begaj praised the excellent relations with Germany and expressed his belief that reciprocal visits at higher political levels, as well as those by representatives of the States, enrich this relationship.
“Albania is grateful to Germany for the assistance provided over the past 33 years in integration processes and believes that no one is better suited than Germany to be Albania’s mentor and advocate in completing integration,” said President Begaj.
The President considered this visit as an opportunity to develop direct collaborations in areas where Albania currently needs to complete transformative processes, which he noted “are not just conditions set by the EU, but reforms that our country needs to make and is making so that Albanians can experience this reality.”
President Begaj emphasized that he is open and cooperative to any initiative that may arise from this visit and that impacts the strengthening of Albania-Germany relations.
