President Begaj Conveys Condolences on the Passing of Actress Margarita Xhepa
President Bajram Begaj of Albania expressed his condolences on the passing of renowned actress Margarita Xhepa. In a message addressed to her family, the artistic community, and all Albanians who admired the stage and screen diva, the President appreciated Margarita Xhepa’s legacy as an artist, woman, mother, and her societal roles.
“With sadness, I learned today that Margarita Xhepa, a luminary of the Albanian stage and screen, has passed away. Her performances, particularly her portrayal of women and especially mothers, brought light and made her a beloved part of Albanian families. This great artist, a respected public figure, and honored woman and mother, dedicated her final years to her art, using it to advocate for important causes supporting women and children.
My deepest condolences go to her family, who have lost their beloved, to the Albanian artistic community, and to all Albanians who have followed and applauded the art that Margarita Xhepa has gifted over the years,” wrote the President on his official Facebook profile.
Beyond the numerous awards and titles in her artistic career, actress Margarita Xhepa was honored with the “Honor of the Nation” and the “Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg” decoration.
