President Begaj with Residents in Peqin: Encouraging, Supporting, and Promoting Local Products to Continue Preserving Tradition
The President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bajram Begaj, visited Peqin today where he met with local residents and authorities.
The focus of the discussions was on the commitment of elected officials and entrepreneurs to increase social welfare through development projects.
President Begaj inquired about the life of the residents in this municipality and the initiatives taken to facilitate local business activities.
The President emphasized the importance of supporting farmers to ensure a market for their organic products and appreciated the tradition of producers maintaining quality.
President Begaj visited the construction company “Euroteorema,” which has been operating in Peqin for years.
He also visited an olive oil processing factory and participated in a fair organized by local residents.
“Everything you produce remains in demand, especially now when people are becoming more conscious about eating healthily. Our society needs to be aware to buy these healthy products,” President Begaj stated while appreciating the preservation of family and local traditions observed in the agricultural and artisanal products displayed at the fair.
He also commended the students of Bishqem schools for promoting local products through their educational programs on healthy eating.
According to President Begaj, such successful models should be encouraged and supported, and he assured his backing to the residents, entrepreneurs, and municipal leaders not only in Peqin but throughout the country.
