President Begaj Decrees Government Changes
The President of the Republic of Albania, His Excellency Mr. Bajram Begaj, acting within his constitutional powers, reviewed the proposal from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, His Excellency Mr. Edi Rama, dated July 28, 2024, regarding the dismissal and appointment of several ministers.
After completing the review process, on July 30, 2024, President Begaj decreed the following:
The dismissal of the Minister of Interior, Mr. Taulant Balla;
The dismissal of the Minister of Defense, Mr. Niko Peleshi;
The dismissal of the Minister of Finance, Mr. Ervin Mete;
The dismissal of the Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament, Ms. Elisa Spiropali;
The appointment of Mr. Ervin Hoxha as the Minister of Interior;
The appointment of Mr. Pirro Vëngu as the Minister of Defense;
The appointment of Mr. Petrit Malaj as the Minister of Finance;
The appointment of Mr. Taulant Balla as the Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament.
