President Begaj receives a delegation of the Islamic Religious Community from the Republic of North Macedonia
The President of the Republic, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj, received a delegation of the Islamic Religious Community from the Republic of North Macedonia, headed by the President of this community, H.Hfz. Shaqir ef. Fetai. In respect to the holy month of Ramadan, President Begaj wished the visitors for God to accept their fasting, sacrifice, worship and prayers.
President Begaj appreciated the patriotic, religious and educational historical role and contribution that the Islamic Religious Community had played in preserving the identity of Albanians, also in support of the brothers from Kosovo expelled in 1999 by the Milošević regime, opening the doors of mosques and interrupting religious activities.
In particular, President Begaj appreciated the contribution of the Islamic Religious Community of North Macedonia for the benefit of peace, tolerance and understanding among representatives of different religions and entities, underlining that Albanians, wherever they live in the Western Balkan region, regardless of their faith, have become a symbol of religious harmony and coexistence.
