President Begaj Received The Chairman Of The Board Of The Albanian-American Development Foundation, Mr. Michael D. Granoff

The President of the Republic, H.E. Mr. Bajram Begaj received today the Chairman of the Board of the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), Mr. Michael D. Granoff, along with other Board Members of the Foundation. President Begaj complimented the visit of the Board Members to Tirana, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Albania and the USA. The President referred to it as an important jubilee year, praising the excellent bilateral relations of strategic partnership between the two countries. President Begaj appreciated the particular contribution the Foundation has made from the beginning of its activities in 1995, for the support of private initiatives, assistance in the consolidation of Albania’s market economy, but also the support given to other national crucial sectors, which suffer from lack of investments. The Head of State appreciated the Foundation's commitments in supporting projects in the field of education, innovation, tourism and culture, and expressed the belief that the continuation of these projects will have a significant impact on communities and professionals in respective fields. A day ago, the President of the Republic attended the reception organized by the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), in the framework of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and the USA. In his speech, President Begaj stated that “the Albanian-American Development Foundation has made a significant contribution through implementation of projects that respect sustainable development principles, that build local capacities and promote employment opportunities”. “We are proud of the already consolidated relationship of strategic partnership between our two countries, which is proven each time we find the necessary support in the American government and American people, each time we find ourselves side by side in important international political forums and in peacekeeping missions everywhere in the world", highlighted the Head of State.
