President Begaj meets with the President of the National Assembly of Slovenia, Deputy Prime Minister of Slovenia, and the Mayor of Ljubljana
During the state visit to Slovenia, the President of the Republic, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj, met for a working lunch with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Mrs. Tanja Fajon.
President Begaj expressed his gratitude to Mrs. Fajon for the support that she personally, and Slovenia have given to Albania on the path of European Union integration.
For the Head of State, it is important that cooperation between the two countries continues, focusing on common strategic interests. President Begaj reiterated the need to deepen economic cooperation and expressed Albania’s readiness to welcome Slovenian investments.
During the state visit to Slovenia, the Head of State also met with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Mrs. Urška Klakočar Zupančič. During the meeting, President Begaj expressed the importance of cooperation between the institutions of the two countries in order to share the best experiences.
The Head of State underlined that within the European Union integration process, Albania appreciates the support of the institutions of Slovenia, so the further deepening of cooperation is welcomed and necessary.
President Begaj also had a meeting with the Mayor of Ljubljana, Mr. Zoran Janković. The development of cities in a sustainable manner for the benefit of the well-being of citizens and the planet was the focus of the conversation of the Head of State with Mr. Janković.
