President Begaj Meets The Representatives Of The Nationwide Union Of Integrating Political And Persecuted Prisoners Of Albania

The President of the Republic, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj, met today the representatives of the Nationwide Union of Integrating Political and Persecuted Prisoners of Albania, headed by the President of this Union, Mr. Besim Ndregjoni, in the year of remembrance for the crimes of communism. President Begaj appreciated the resistance against the communist regime by the persecuted and emphasized the importance of the real assessment of their resistance by the Albanian society. “We must live the future, without forgetting the past”, the President emphasized. At the end of the meeting, the Head of State mentioned that on the 50th anniversary of the Spaç Revolt, he will be with the surviving heroes of the Revolt in the notorious former prison, to honor the insurgents of freedom.
