The President of the Republic of Albania, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj, along with the President of the Republic of Poland, H.E.Mr. Andrzej Duda, were present at the Business Roundtable between Albania and Poland.
President Begaj expressed the pleasure of being present in such an organization, as well as appreciated the economic ties between Albania and Poland.
In his remarks, President Begaj said: “I note with pleasure, that Albanian-Polish trade relations have seen a dynamic growth over the last few years. It is noticeable the increase in the number of Polish tourists visiting Albania.”
During the forum of the “Business Roundtable” between the two countries, President Begaj stated: “Our country has a dynamic economy with 4.8% growth in 2022, is a NATO member country, and is in the process of European Union membership negotiations. This provides opportunities and security for investors. In 2022, the Heritage Foundation’s assessment of economic freedom, showed that Albania has a moderate market freedom and that it is the third in the Balkan Peninsula, after Slovenia and Croatia.”
“I see the progress, but there is still a long way to go, and this also applies to the economic-trade cooperation between Albania and Poland. I hope that this forum will mark steps forward in this direction” – the Head of State concluded his remarks.
