President Begaj congratulates Orthodox believers on the occasion of the Orthodox Easter
On the occasion of the Orthodox Easter, the President of the Republic, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj was in the city of Korça, from where he congratulated all Orthodox believers in a press statement.
“I wish all Orthodox believers Happy Easter! I chose to be in the city of Korça on this holy day, because where else but in the city of Korça, this holy feast is celebrated with this extraordinary liveliness and atmosphere! And this was also confirmed by the metropolitan of Korça”, President Begaj said.
The Head of State stated further, “At 00:00, all Orthodox believers shared with each other the flame, which symbolized the Resurrection of Christ, the return of hope and light! I wish for all Albanians, that this Easter brings good fortune, blessings and may the light of Easter illuminate the minds, hearts and lives of Albanians”, President Begaj said in his greeting.
Earlier, President Begaj visited the Holy Metropolis of Korça, where he also met with His Grace, Joan Pelushi.
