President Begaj accepts the credential letters of the new Mauritanian Ambassador, Ely Salem
The President of the Republic, H.E.Mr. Bajram Begaj, received the credential letters of the new Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mrs. Zeineb Ely Salem, resident in Rome.
President Begaj appreciated the political will of both countries to promote bilateral relations and exchange visits at different levels, especially in the framework of economic and commercial cooperation and expressed the belief, that the new Ambassador Ely Salem will give a positive impulse to the relations between the two countries. Also, they mentioned the interest in intensifying cooperation within international organizations, where both countries are members.
In particular, President Begaj underlined the commitment and the very important role that both countries play in the regions where they belong, as well as appreciated Mauritania’s recognition of Kosovo, considering this act as a valuable contribution to peace and security in the region of Southeast Europe, but not only.
