The President of the Republic, Mr. Ilir Meta visited Lezha today in the framework of the initiative taken together with the “Blood Donation Alliance”.
President Meta expressed the satisfaction with the blood donation session and thanked the citizens of Lezha, who responded voluntarily and with a high sense of humanism and solidarity to the call of the Alliance.
“I want to thank the Mayor of Lezha, Mr. Fran Frrokaj for this excellent organization, in response to our request to organize this blood donation session, since January and February are difficult months when blood demand increases.
So the contribution to blood donation should be increased as well, and I believe that through this engagement of this very civic participation, Lezha gives a very good example of human solidarity.
I am sure that in a very cooperative way we will make sure that no citizen is lacking blood, not only in this critical period, but also in continuity “- stressed President Meta.
Mayor Frrokaj, noting that this is a most humanitarian action, thanked President Meta for this initiative and invited other institutions to join this cause.
