29 November 2019 Presidenti Meta dhe Kryeministri Haradinaj vizitojnë qendrën e emergjencave civile në Durrës: Mirënjohje Kosovës për solidaritetin vëllazëror. Gjithmonë do jemi bashkë!
The President of the Republic, H.E. Ilir Meta, together with the Prime Minister in office of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ramush Haradinaj visited today the civil emergency center in Durres, set up in the “Niko Dovana” stadium, where they met and were interested on the health and condition of the residents who remained homeless as a result of the earthquake that struck the country.
President Meta and Prime Minister Haradinaj, accompanied by members of the Kosovo government, Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj, Minister of Defense, Rustem Berisha, Minister of Transport Pal Lekaj, and Minister of Justice, Abelard Tahiri, also met with the special civil emergencies unit that arrived from Kosovo.
During the meeting with the homeless residents of Durres, as well as with the Kosovo Security and Police Forces, the President of the Republic stated:
“I thank Kosovo once more, its people and institutions, Prime Minister Haradinaj, and in particular the Kosovo Security and Police Forces, who have excelled in responding immediately to the tragedy and continue to doing their best alongside our forces, to the aid of our citizens who have suffered these terrible consequences of the earthquake.
This solidarity has made it easier to cope with the consequences of this pain. Once again Mr. Prime Minister you should be proud of the Kosovo Security Forces, the Kosovo Police, because I am sure that every NATO country would be proud of the best they have shown these days, without stopping, without getting tired.
I feel good when even our own citizens express the deepest and most heartfelt gratitude of all our people for this brotherly solidarity. ”
Whereas the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Haradinaj noted that: “I am honored that with a part of the government cabinet, together with the President of the Republic Meta, we are today in Durres, near the Kosovo Police and the Kosovo Army, the Army of Albania, to provide further support to all those involved in the transition.
We sympathize with the families of the victims, the injured and the damaged, all those difficulties that Albania has and we will continue to be together. President, thank you for your time! ”
In conclusion, President Meta thanked Prime Minister Haradinaj and the Government of Kosovo for their first financial contribution of half a million Euros, encouraging the extraordinary solidarity of Kosovo Albanians and entrepreneurs.
