Human Rights Day. President Begaj’s Message for the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration
The President of the Republic of Albania, His Excellency Bajram Begaj, conveyed a message today on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
President Begaj emphasizes the importance of Albania’s second membership in the United Nations Human Rights Council and assures the commitment of Albanian institutions in the protection and promotion of Human Rights.
“Today marks the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights – a fundamental document that has significantly influenced the history of human rights.
This Declaration is a common ideal for all peoples and nations, aiming for every individual to equally and without discrimination enjoy fundamental human freedoms and rights.
It’s a beautiful coincidence that on its 75th anniversary, Albania was elected for the second time as a member of the UN Human Rights Council.
Our institutions will continue to defend and promote Human Rights for a world of freedom, justice, and equality for all,” writes the President of the Republic in his message.
