Arjan Kadareja was born in Tirana on March 28th, 1961.
His educational background includes a Mining Engineering Degree from University of Tirana in 1986, as well as a Master of Arts (in 1995) and PhD in International Economics (in 2000) from Graduate Institute of International Studies and University of Geneva, Switzerland.
Arjan is also an Associate Professor of Economics, since 2016, as well as a CFA Charterholder, since 2019.
Since July 2022, he is an advisor to the President of the Republic of Albania. He is also an external instructor at the University of New York Tirana and St. Clair College, Windsor, Canada.
Previously, he has been a lecturer at University of New York Tirana (2016-2022), an external instructor at St. Clair College, Windsor, Canada (2022 – ), a lecturer at Canadian Institute of Technology (2014-2016) and the European University of Tirana (2010 – 2014).
He has also been a non-executive member of Bank of Albania Supervisory Board (2006 – 2013), a financial research consultant for the European Central Bank in Frankfurt (2004 – 2015) as well as a lecturer at University of Tirana (1991-1993 ) and a mining engineer at Batra Mine (1986 – 1991).
Arjan Kadareja has authored and co-authored several research articles published with well-known economic and finance journals.
As a researcher, he has been attending and making presentations at national and international conferences.
He has translated from English into Albanian several university textbooks covering European economic and financial integration issues as well as Investments in finance.
His areas of expertise are part of macroeconomics, finance and central banking as well as economic and financial integration.
