Mimoza Selenica – Advisor on Social Issues

She was born on April 29th, 1956 in Tirana. She attended Sami Frashëri High School in Tirana and later on, she received a Physic’s Degree from the Natural Sciences Faculty of Tirana University in 1980. After graduating she worked as a teacher of Mathematics and Physics in Kruja District and later on she was transferred to Tirana until October of 1995.
She served as an Inspector of the Labor and Social Issues Ministry until August 1999, at the General Administration of Social Assistance and Services.
Throughout this period Mrs. Selenica enjoyed cooperation with the international bodies in Albania and with the UNHRC in Tirana during the conflict in Kosova.
For a decade, she immigrated to Rimini, Italy where she worked as a cultural mediator in the Teenager Care Sector at the AUSL (Regional Social Service) of Rimini. From 2009 until March 2010 she worked at the Public Administration Training Institute.
From March 2010 until March 2012 Mrs. Selenica served as the Head of the Judicial Sector responsible for the Teenagers and Family Right at the Codification Department of the Justice Ministry.
Ever since April 2012 she served as Inspector in the Department of Property Issues Coordination of the Ministry of Justice.
At the present she has been appointed Advisor on Social Issues at the Institution of the President of Republic. Mrs. Selenica reads, writes and speaks fluently English and Italian.
