4 May 2019 President Meta will organize and host in Tirana the Leaders’ Summit of Brdo-Brijuni Process on May 8-9th, 2019
The President of the Republic, H.E. Ilir Meta will hosts and organize in Tirana, on May 8-9th the Leaders’ Summit of Brdo-Brioni Process.
The Brdo-Brijuni Process is a regional initiative co-founded in 2010 by Slovenian and Croatian Presidents.
Also at the invitation of the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and the President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, the Tirana Summit will be attended by the three members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Milorad Dodik, Šefik Džaferović and Željko Komšić, by the President of Kosova, Hashim Thaci, by the President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanović, by the President of Northern Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov and by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucić.
The guests of honor are the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice President, Federica Mogherini.
The Summit of Leaders in Tirana, coinciding with the “Day of Europe” aims to convey an important political message about the common aspiration shared by the countries of the region to be integrated and join the European Union.
This initiative has served as an important forum of the highest political level to foster dialogue and cooperation, to strengthen security and stability, and to support the European and Euro-Atlantic processes of all the countries of the region. A significant and vital indicator of our countries has been the sustainable support provided to this process by senior European and American leaders.
At the end of the Leaders’ Summit, the Process will adopt and approve a document containing the conclusions of the meeting.
